Orlando Language Camp for Kids
Give your children the gift of language! This year, Valencia Enterprises’ Center for Global Languages, a division of Valencia Community College, is pleased to offer three language programs for kids ages 8 through 14, ESL for Kids, Chinese for Kids, and Spanish for Kids.
The Lake Nona YMCA location will feature Spanish and Chinese for Kids, while Valencia’s Sand Lake Center will offer ESL for Kids. To learn more about the Spanish and Chinese programs, please contact the Lake Nona YMCA (www.centralfloridaymca.org) at 407-852-3520.
Below is a description of the ESL for Kids program:
Campers will have fun while gaining a greater understanding of the target language and culture. Each week will feature a new theme and different topics.
Every day campers will experience a wide variety of engaging activities such as:
- arts and crafts
- music and dance
- games and storytelling
- drama and movies
- computer lab with interactive software
Expertly planned language instruction includes practice in all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing/grammar. The program curriculum is themed, so students can start on any Monday during the four-week period.
After care available from 1-5 p.m., at an additional cost.
