Conversational English
Are you looking for ways to improve your
English skills?
In this dynamic and interactive program, participants learn practical English that they can use in their everyday life. While most of the time is spent on speaking and listening in English, students will also practice their reading and writing skills.
- Classes start in January, April, June, August, and October.
- Eight levels are available from Low Beginner to High Advanced. All students must complete the Oral Evaluation for placement before registering.
- Within each level, there are several classes that must be taken, before moving up to the next level. Students do not have to take the classes in any specific order.
- Each class is 32-hours, given over a period of 8 weeks.
- Evening, Saturday, and daytime class schedules available.
- Courses are offered at a variety of Campus Locations.
- Small class sizes – maximum 15 students per class.
- Instructors are college-educated and trained in ESOL.
English Pronunciation
We offer two 16-hour courses, English Pronunciation 1 & 2, which can be taken in any order. These courses are designed for individuals who are proficient in English but who would like to improve their overall pronunciation to be better understood by native speakers.
- The courses are taught by an experienced instructor who will work closely with students to address all aspects of speech: vowels, consonants, stress, rhythm, and intonation.
- The instructor will conduct a pre-assessment for each student to analyze their speech patterns. Using this information, the course will be tailored to individual and group needs.
- The format of the course is highly interactive, with the instructor guiding students as they practice vocally during class time.
